Sir you said I should have pushed him back, or restrained him and I DID ALL THOSE THINGS... but you act like I didn’t. Were you there?
-
That’s different than slapping the shit outa him

Terry Crews was courageous speaking out. Crews put himself in a position to have credibility & manhood threatened. DL Hughley is expressing frustration of duality of racism & sexual assault but wasn’t in Crews shoes & it strips him of his agency AGAIN. Apologize & squash it.
-
DL was asked a question. He answered the question based on what he would have done. We can’t be upset with the brother because he didn’t answer the way Bro Terry would have liked. As black men we are quick to jump bad with our brothers.
-
That’s why I said what I said.

A man can’t say what he would have done in that situation. You simply cannot imagine the situation as it happens. The confusion, embarrassment, the violated anger, a person you thought you knew just crossed a line and you don’t understand why, all this in 2 seconds unexpectedly.
-
Your mind reacts with mixed signals like a car accident. First trying to figure out what’s happening, then absorbing the accident to try to understand the cause, then thinking of survival and how to get away to safety. Completely unknown territory and panic can take control.

this is beautifully said.

This video is unhealthy. I’ve been a regular at the Laugh Factory for over a decade. When I am healthy, I perform as good as any other. Comics sometimes believe that being a prick or a contrarian simply means he or she is edgy. Sometimes it just means ur wrong.
-
We all process abuse in our own way. We are all different. The simple truth is: No individual has the right to touch another human being without their consent. As someone who has been abused, I felt partially to blame. I was not, neither was Terry.
-
As a husband & father, there may have been other reasons for how Terry reacted. As I was not there, I would only assume one thing: Terry has shown in many interviews that he is a pensive individual & I trust that he handled the situation in the best way possible, simply his way.
-
If he did or didn’t slap the shit out of that gross individual, he would be justified to choose either way. The one thing he is not justified in doing is taking accountability for someone else’s unhealthy behavior.
-
Now if you want to see some quality comedy, here’s one of my clips.
I hope this is uplifting instead of degrading healthy behavior:https://youtu.be/F4BeWv2qB24 -
I got a lot of burgers to eat to make up for all the friendships I have destroyed

Kings!! You both have huge platforms and a good understanding of the Hollywood scene.. It’s counterproductive and divisive to dispute this publicly. Pick up the phone, email, text... White Supremacy survives off Division!
-
If you can be ignorant in public, no one owes you a private explanation.
-
To take sides is ignorant.. life isn’t about being right or wrong.. it’s about being effective in communicating to ensure understanding and respect. These are two well-respected black men fighting in public.. Both play a role in the resolve! Public ain’t it!
-
D.L. Hughley was wrong and he needed to be called out. Period.
