Elevation requires separation…Separation from bad habits, bad influences, & shortsighted mindsets. Separation is painful at first but worth it in the end, especially when you see how many people your dreams help.

There's a stigma around the word 'underserved' but in order to properly address health equity, we must understand what an underserved community/population is. From there, we (social impact organizations/companies) can provide complete solutions.

Today’s a good day to remind folks that GA’s governor signed a bill last month removing the permitting requirement for carrying concealed weapons. You know, the process that blocked 5,300 ineligible people from getting a permit to carry a gun last year.

“Why are you here?!" A furious Sen. Chris Murphy demands answers from senators following Texas school shooting. “Why do you spend all this time running for the United States Senate...if your answer, is as the slaughter increases, as our kids run for their lives—we do nothing?”

Today, Chris Christie (who expanded Medicaid in New Jersey) is appearing with Brian Kemp, who deprives 500,000+ Georgians of Medicaid access and just vetoed access for Georgians living with HIV. Kemp doesn’t care, so Georgians suffer while our tax dollars flow to 38 other states.
Chart comparing New Jersey (expanded Medicaid) to Georgia (Kemp refuses to). NJ created 24,000 jobs (GA - 0) covered 770,000 people GA - 0), no rural hospitals closed (GA - 8), NJ accepts $3B/year (GA rejects 3,5B/yr even though each state’s tax payers already paid for it. As a result NJ has a 6.4% uninsured rate whereas GA has 14.5% uninsured, ranking 2nd in the country.

To improve health in our communities, we MUST have a government that cares about the health of our communities.

NEW(ish): @GovKemp has blocked a plan to expand Medicaid to people in Georgia living with HIV. Lawmakers put $4ish million dollars in the FY23 budget to apply for the expansion. Kemp struck that from the spending plan late Friday. #gapol
