So the idea is you create a fake news story say about Bernie vs. Clinton. You target a right-wing person who has a large base of middle and liberal friends, likely work related. So this person shares to their right base but the B vs C sides see it too & get into a flame fight.
The result is you get massive amplification. This amplification is a negative responsive with all involved rather than positive targeting to encourage community and sharing. Then you get a breakdown between the Bernie and Clinton people and the right side shares it to the next.
