Agree and that is not the first or last time a great overseas property has been redone for the US market only to make it really suck.

But U.S. versions aren’t necessarily worse. “All In The Family” was better than “Till Death Do Us Part” and the U.S. version of “The Office” was on par with the U.K. version. Art is subjective and television is a collaborative medium. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Not sure I agree on the Office. I think the US office became something apart from the original. The thing about UK series is they are short-lived. Faulty Towers is so special because of its rarity. I think the US Office overstayed its welcome.
