      #BlastProcessing Is Real! Seriously, it actually was term for the type of pre-loading code which hadn't really been done before on consoles. Now pre-loading is common.

      Nope. Based on burst mode but marketing thought burst sounded negative so blast was born.

      Yeah which means it was a real thing. Marketing may not have fully understood it, but it really was a method of preloading textures. Changing the name for marketing doesn't mean the concept didn't exist. Hell, it wasn't the first, nor last, time marketing changed a name.

      You are trying to splice hairs, saying that because Marketing changed the name, it was completely fictitious. I'm trying to explain to you "That is not how the English language works". Blast Processing, marketing term or not, was a phrase used for something that existed.

      Just because the name was "fake" like Listerine's "Halitosis", doesn't mean the actual thing being described didn't exist. So you can't say "Blast Processing Never Existed". That's just ignorant and stupid. You can say "Blast Processing really referred to X".

      Yep, that's me. Mr. Blast Processing doesn't exist. Guilty as charged. Kevin I really appreciate you filling me in on the history of Blast Processing. Thank you. I had a serious knowledge gap on the subject. I finally feel complete after your lesson.

          I don't understand why you decided to start replying to me in a very aggressive tone, then quote ign as a source which doesn't actually say anything other than what I was saying, except the processing technique actually did allow tilesets to be "pre-loaded".

          I really don't understand what your position is. I never said it increased graphics capabilities, and neither did any of the blast processing commercials. There's a difference between increasing graphic capabilities (such as resolution and color) and increasing optimization.
