I'm going home in an hour. I'll need help getting to and from every place I need to go. I will not have a nurse. This will likely do more harm than good, and if I end up back here due to a fall? Sigh.

Well at this point it appears you have done all you can do. Hopefully once home you can work out a safe solution to the basic places you need to move and work up to the outside stuff. Is there possible solutions offered in your community who would offer some support?

I'm on a waiting list that's 4 months long. A month longer than my entire convalescence is supposed to be.

Wow. The US sucks on the medical front super hard. But on occasion where you like we have some local community support. So services that help shuttle people in medical need to places where they need to go and shop safely. Was hoping maybe you could find a couple local things.

My husband has no time off to take because he just started a new job on March 1st..My son goes to school, so there is 7 hours a day where I am going to be completely alone.

That is so frustrating you have no friend or neighbor who could help? Depending on your cell phone there are apps that allow you to set-up a distress message that you can hit or will go off if you don't check in. I know this is a crap solution but better than 7 hours distressed

I have a way to call for help, but my neighbors have jobs. I can't press a panic button every time I have to pee. So, my options as of now are diapers and and a cooler next to my bed. So I get to look forward to that for the next few months. And I'll only get rehab twice a week

Yep, I live alone, so I have been in this situation. But I also have one family member, my Mom who is retired I can call on should it get bad. But it's a lot to put on her. I had to hack solutions from a distress system, not given in the US. Also how to get around. Just sucks.

if I could get the funds raised, I could get a nurse. My dad had told me a cousin was going to pay for the first month, but that turned out to be wrong. I'm sorry for whining so much... Oh goody the nurse is here with my discharge papers..
