Last night was NOT FUN. I had an episode of tachycardia. I woke up the sensation of my heart pounding and I was sweaty. All of a sudden 3 nurses came running into my room, checking the wires and tubes, pulled my pillow from under my head, then decided against it and put it back..

Then, the doctor arrived in the room and SOMETHING was injected into my IV. I instantly felt, just wrong, like I was going to pass out, and my fingers and toes felt like ants were crawling inside my skin, if I didn't know any better, I would have thought my heart stopped..

For a few seconds. Then I started to feel a little better, the nurses and doctors relaxed, and my favorite nurse patted my hand and asked me how I was feeling. I told her I was better, but just sweaty. She brought in a cool damp towel and wiped my face. Anyone know wtf this was?

You were likely given a fast acting form of a Antiarrhythmic agent. The response you felt was most likely related to your nervous system being able to return to a full body state after being so centralized around your heart distress. Similar to a panic attack x 1000.

You wouldn't be normal or sane if you said otherwise. Sorry you had to go through that, but I would push back to better understand if it was a drug interaction vs. a recovery risk and should you expect it to occur again. You have to be your own advocate at all times.

Way ahead of me. I can understand various languages but have failed to learn how to speak back even though I have been known to be able under distress to suddenly speak some Japanese or Dutch. At this point English is a daily challenge to speak & write well, not the brightest
