Helpful in Belfast (East) where the MP for 3-odd decades was a Robinson for the DUP who then retired and was replaced by the DUP's Robinson

Same more recently when son of Sammy Douglas stood in assembly elections simply as "Douglas" - a lot of people only know because of the pic.

Parties could canvas with flyers and actually speak to voters. However, as per my point to Tom, FST won't be decided by posters.

Looking at the spend in every U.K. election on posters, its obvious to assume they must have some benefit, even if only a few votes.

Parties canvass and put leaflets and letters to everywhere they can, bear in mind that constituency was lost by 4 votes the time before last

It is not nice behaviour taking down posters. But at bonfires, Nationalist flags and posters are burnt also. Politics must become more civil
