To do this I need: - Zen Meditation Schedule - Diet high in protein and fats (open to recommendations here) - Kettlebell, jumping jacks, stretching, long walks - Better record keeping and daily charting and research process

High fats and protein diet sucks for lifestyle. You can't drink a beer on the weekend or anything. I'd recommend following
@Jay_Azeltine and watching his diet. High fats and protein in the early parts of the day and high carbs in the second half. (if I'm not mistaken)1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
But if you're okay with changing your lifestyle and being strict I've heard a lot of good about high fat/protein diets! Might be worth trying for a month.

Ok that makes sense. My goal is to remain as clear and focused in the early half of the day as possible which to me basically means Keto or fasting, latter half of the day can be different or recovery or whatever. Is that along the lines of what you’re saying?

Ketosis takes a few weeks to get into. A true keto diet is not for the weekend warrior. It's a strict lifestyle. Experiment with it and see what works for you. I try to stay away from carbs until directly before me evening workout (7pm) and then after.

Not necessarily against removing the weekend warrior lifestyle or at least significantly altering it but I wasn’t aware it took that long to get into ketosis, will you drop out of it upon the slightest cheat?

I think you can have between 20-40 carbs. Not sure on the specific. Would have to research that. But yes. Your body wants to burn carbs over fat since your fat is stored away for life or death situations. Too many carbs and your body switches back over.

That's why keto makes you lose weight so quickly. With higher carbs you kinda mix the two and burn a little fat, a little carbs. Take away the carbs and you have nothing but fat to burn through.

As always that’s for some people. I’m sure there are individuals who would not respond very well to keto. Everything is relative to what works for you personally.

Thanks man, I’m just trying to figure this out so I can manage energy levels properly. My workout could also use more deadlifts lmao
