You are not only the average of your five closest friends, but they are the average of you. Ask YOURSELF: Am I raising or lowering their average?
If you are raising their average, you need to honestly asses your circle and ask yourself if you are in good company. If you are lowering their average, you need to immediately begin fixing yourself before you ruin the lives of those around you.

Also it is important to remember life is not linear. Just because an individual is down, according to your group average, does not mean they should immediately be cut off. A judge of character is incredibly important. There may come a day when they are up and you are down.
