My Problem with Cardio for Fat Loss "Low intensity cardio = 100% Fat Utilization" This is objectively true, which is why you see so many people doing slow steady cardio. They wanna lose body-fat. The mistake is the assumption that the fat utilization is "tangible" in results.

Aye. Cardio is ok if it's done post resistance training Otherwise you're just cutting your strength and wasting energy that could be used for more metabolically engaging excercises

That or a separate session. I usually present those two options to clients. This is a really solid post though. You also have to factor in that resistance training builds muscle, muscle burns calories. So lifting literally snowballs your weight loss as a beginner.
