I've never had a diet. Diets are unsustainable. I fuel my body. There’s a difference. Sure, I eat virtually the same foods every day, but I eat them because I want to, not because I have to. If you’re in the game for life, why wouldn’t your food intake reflect that as well?
For those of you who are curious, I track my macros. I virtually eat anything I want, as long as it meets my daily goals. Obviously there is a hierarchy of food. What do you think is better, McDonald's or a grilled steak. Be intuitive. Use your head. My "diet" is s lifestyle.

If I want to eat ice cream, I eat mofo ice cream. It's got a lot of sugar (carbs) and fats, so I hold back on butter and oils for the day. Also I'd eat ice cream post workout, when my body needs a fast obsorbing carb.

Structured diets are the quickest way to hate your life. Yes I eat the same foods everyday, but it's because I like those foods. If I didn't like them, I wouldn't eat them. Your food intake should be disciplined but flexible. Obviously I can't eat ice cream every day.

But if I was ice cream once a week, I'm not going to hold myself back from it. If you hate your life when trying to be healthy, you'll never make it. I'm going to be lifting well into my 70s & 80s. There's no way I'm going to hate myself all those years, due to a bro diet.

I practice "Flexible Dieting" also know as, If It Fits Your Macros (IIFYM). As of September 2018, I have yet to find a better long-term sustainable food plan. If I do find a better one, I'll jump ship. I'm not one of those zealot, diet hippies who identified by their food.

Also I’ve got a lot more coming in the future regarding dieting. I’m reading through “Deep Nutrition” by Catherine Shanahan this book was recommended by
@AJA_Cortes From what I’ve read so far, I can tell this book will more than likely shift some of my dieting philosophyShow this thread
