Guys, stop doing mixed grip deadlifts. Use straps and save that bicep blow out on the underhand side. Straps aren’t any more “cheating” than the mixed grip. If your macho-ego won’t allow strap use, use a double overhand. Safer and harder ; but probably less useful.

Nah I need to get my grip strength up. Can't compete with straps. Besides, I struggle to get into proper position with straps/belt.

No I actually believe this is how everyone should be training. Forearms are an important part of aesthetics and antifagility. If this tweet helped you, you're probably a new lifter and new lifters should not use straps. To an experienced lifter, this tweet is old knowledge.

I would say to switch your over-under grip from week to week or month to month. I failed to do this and have an underdeveloped left lat. This would also eliminate some of the stress on your bicep.
