I did all this because of my depression and anxiety, not an excuse to be lazy. Do you know how many times I've woken up and just felt empty? Depression takes away the motivation of a normal person.

It's not easy to "rewire" yourself, depression holds back a lot of people every day, and i guarantee people have had it worse than you, so just think about how difficult it is to function

I never said it was easy. It's one of the hardest things you'll ever do. Fighting your demons is no easy task, but what's the alternative? Be depressed your whole life? Fuck that. Also you know nothing about me. Stop making assumptions to push your narrative.

Some people do have to deal with it their whole life. "It's one of the hardest things you'll ever do" just further proves my point. And I know that today you are alive, which some people didn't get to experience because mental illness was just that bad to them.

i didn’t realize you had a phD in psychology and could determine that 75% of the people with these medically diagnosed illnesses don’t have them. most of these make it almost impossible to function normally and WANT to function but their illnesses prevent them from doing so

I understand the point youre trying to make But for people who actually have depression those are some of the outcomes/effects of it. So yes depression is holding me back. Doesnt make me any less of a person or lazy. It also doesnt mean Im trying to perpetuate it & not get better
