One of the most overlooked aspects of networking is you have to actually be liked by people. Most people are so focused on what a badass they are and what a valuable asset they could be other teams.
If you're a dick.. well you're probably out or luck. I hate how popular it's become that "Steve Jobs was an asshole, but still made millions. I can be too." First of all, you're not Steve Jobs. Idc. End of story.

If you truly want to connect with people and build cool things in the future, start with becoming a pleasant person to be around. I'm a savage, but I'm also extremely nice to people. I'd go to the end of the earth for everyone of my friends and they know this.

As a teen, this part of my shadow was under developed. I was definitely an asshole most of the time. It takes time to mature and figure life out. Settle in for the long haul. Fix yourself. Go to the gym.
