Some of you might not know, but Amazon and ecom is completely wrecking brick and mortar retail at the moment.
Large multi-million dollar companies and going under on the regular.
One specific company going under right now is @elderbeerman

Most of the Elder Beerman stores around me are going to be closing for good at the end of this month. At the moment, they are practically giving away the rest of their inventory for free.

For this side hustle, you're going to need a Smartphone, the Ebay app and as much
as you are willing to put up.Show this thread -
Elder Beerman hours near me are 10am-9pm. Plan to be there tomorrow morning when doors open. Walk in the store and begin looking for every name brand product you can find. The smaller the product the better, as we will be shipping these product later on.

When you find a product that you think could sell easily on eBay (honestly I'd start fuckin' hustling and check every product in sight) You're going to want to open the eBay app. Click the SEARCH button at the bottom and then click the SCAN icon in the top right corner.
Show this thread -
Scan the item and look to see if it is selling on eBay. **IMPORTANT** click the filter button at the top right and make sure "COMPLETED ITEM" and "SOLD ITEM" are both turned on. Just because an item is listed, doesn't mean it's actually selling.

You want to stick with items that are already selling and you want to use those successful prices when selling your own products. Check margins while you're in the store. Remeber to estimate shipping expenses as well.

So it's now 12pm. You've spent the last 2hrs finding winning products. You've now got 10-30 items and you're ready to go home. Go to the check out, virtually steal these items and walk back to your car happy af!
Show this thread -
You've now got a few items to sell, but have nothing to ship them in. Stop by various local stores and asking if they have any free boxes and packing paper. Think: grocery stores, liquor stores, furniture stores, small businesses, etc They just throw this stuff away.

Grab boxes that seem to be close to the correct dimensions for the products you are shipping. Continue home.. It's now time to list our products. Setup a FREE eBay account and walk through all of the steps. This is simple. If you're confused check out YouTube for tutorials.
Show this thread -
Search for your item once again and look at people who have already sold your product. Read their descriptions and prices. You basically want to copy what's already working and making listings that look similar to theirs. Don't change what's working.
Show this thread -
So you've now made your listings.. Before you post, be sure to check https://www.ups.com/mobile/ratetnthome?loc=en_us … https://www.fedex.com/ratefinder/mobilehome … And figure out who will ship your product the cheapest, as well as decide if you're going to offer free shipping or charge.
Show this thread -
Generally speaking, products under 2lb will ship cheapest through UPS. Some people have strong opinions about FedEx being better and will only ship through them. Really it's up to you. Make a shot call.

So you've bought a few products. Found shipping boxes and supplies. Created an eBay account. And posted your products on eBay. Now you sit back and wait. Some products may sell straight away. Some may take a few days.

Once a product sells, box it up. Create a shipping label using PayPal (PayPal is how you will be doing transactions through eBay and is created when setting up your eBay account) You can also choose to just handwrite an address label here. Be sure to include a return address.

Load the box in your car (hopefully you'll be loading up multiple boxes) travel to UPS or FedEx and ship out your product!

This is super easy and huge profit margins! You can easily make an extra 10k-20k a year using this side hustle. For some of you, that 18k may be what allows you to start your future business or pay your rent. Don't underestimate the power of hustling offline. Let's gooo!!

You probably know this already if you’re a
@garyvee guy, but he talks a lotttt about the Craigslist free section. I haven’t executed (or tried yet) but I have looked into it and there is DEFINITELY potential in some items now and again. Super comparable to this method of buy>flip -
I've not executed on the free Craigslist either but I appreciate the reminder! That's definitely a huge opportunity. Especially for the big items like washers and dryers. If you've got the means of transporting it.. easy $200 with one product.
-
Consider the Facebook Marketplace and EBay. Also - retail arbitrage can be quite simple as well. Especially if you can find a store that is closing, close out sales make for RIDICULOUS margins
-
Check out the thread. I went into detail about retail arbitrage.

@craigslist free section sounds like a lot of work. That’s a hardcore hustle! -
It really just depends on where you're at in life. If it means putting food on the table, you gotta get after it. That's really the main reason I've not done a lot of flipping. I'd rather use other methods. Nonetheless. Very practical and valuable. Esp for teen entrepreneurs
