Unpopular opinion: Your "purpose" or "mission" is effectively random. True, you're ill-suited for some things, but it's mostly sticking with something long enough to get good at it. Proficiency makes you believe you were destined for it--developed or innate.

Agreed. A lot people are just too lazy to grind out the work requires to achieve mastery. When they quit, they claim it's not their "purpose."
