That the difference between 'export' and 'share with a third party' is...what, exactly? Some language in a Terms-of-Service? I don't know.

isn't the difference that "export" goes to a user to whom you're already presenting that data while "share with a third party" goes to a third party who hasn't been given consent by the data owner?

I guess it kinda depends on whether you see the "independent apps" in the article as client-side software that directly talks to a facebook API or server-side software that can easily copy all the data it sees without anyone noticing
