has anyone made an aggressively packet-loss-compensating VPN yet? something that, if you give it a pipe with 4mbit/s bandwidth, 20% packet loss and a bit of jitter, will shove your packets over that link and keep the TCP endpoints from reducing speed due to packet loss?
yeah, mosh is great for interactive shells, I use it when I want a remote shell while traveling by train. I agree that 20% loss on a wired connection indicate a problem, but it'd still be nice to have a workaround.
