I don't like it, but from what I've seen, it's not quite as bad as e.g. that "Firefox is on a slippery slope" blogpost makes it sound
about that FF "lookingglass": that was effectively dead code (since you had to set a pref to make it actually do anything), right? the complaints are about dead code and the way the presence of the dead code was presented to the user, not about anything the pushed code did?
