Could be sneaky with an attack using it (stop user's device from locking then nab it), but maybe power still locks.

It's similar to fingerprint unlock: it reduces security, but the alternative for many users might be no lock method.

actually, there are scenarios in which fingerprint unlock significantly increases security IMO
