I worked on this for the software side a number of years ago. The memory management was a bit of a nightmare and made it difficult to take advantage of the hardware. Maybe things have improved since then?

Plus you'd have to run a compaction cycle to get everything into a 'contiguous' section of DRAM, and with all the channel/bank/row/column hashing I don't even know if you can easily identify a section to be turned off.
