Only if you stop there. The revised version goes on to make quite clear that the author disagrees strongly and demands a better rationale. There's no question that the patch won't be accepted otherwise.

the original says that the rationale is wrong. the edited version expresses doubt about the rationale and says that the commit message is wrong. there's a difference between the rationale being wrong and the commit message being wrong
