FWIW, depending on the OS, files are potentially marked with their source URL - e.g. if I download a file in Chrome on Linux, it is marked according to https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/CommonExtendedAttributes/ … (see image). https://superuser.com/questions/695507/find-out-where-a-file-was-downloaded-from … talks about equivalent functionality on OS X and Windows.pic.twitter.com/rPxKO2c9db

I did a small memory usage experiment on my PC. I have 16GB RAM and 8GB swap; it looks as if the 1755 tasks running under my UID are currently using about 19MB RAM for unused userspace thread stack areas (below the redzone), plus 9MB swap for unused userspace thread stackspic.twitter.com/WMB8qfSNTw
