There are plenty of arguments against the Iowa Caucus, but one I don’t hear enough: hundreds of the best organizers in the party just spent a year knocking every door and accumulating mountains of data and most are leaving tomorrow. What if that all happened in Wisconsin?

    1. This is an obvious prediction, but I want to get it on record. The GOP just released Trump from any accountability for trying to cheat in the upcoming election. That's one sign of many that they are going to try to rig the election, in a range of illegal & semi-legal ways.

This bears repeating: PhDs who end up working outside the academy (for whatever reason) are not failures. The academy has no monopoly on great and important work. There are great success to be had in other sectors. Enough already with the professional elitism.

Hey , I was there. Obama was discussing further reductions in nuclear weapons. That's PUBLIC policy -- advancing American national interests. Trump was discussing his reelection. That's PRIVATE policy, advancing Trump's personal interests. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

Mitch recently took $8,400 in campaign contributions from two of the impeachment defense attorneys. Now, he's returning the favor by keeping witnesses from testifying in the trial. This is the pay-to-play swamp that Mitch created.

Yesterday the Senate decided to vote on impeachment without hearing witnesses. At midnight, OMB acknowledged (pursuant to court order & at the last minute) emails document Trump’s involvement. Evidence will continue to surface despite the Senate cover up.

One thing is crystal clear: the have shown that they will defend Trump no matter what. It’s time to vote them out. Register. Volunteer. Knock on doors. Make calls. Talk to your neighbors. It’s time to show up and VOTE.

Those tax cuts that Congressional Republicans said would pay for themselves? The CBO says that deficits will now exceed $1 trillion each year for the next decade. We're putting our kids in debt so that Amazon doesn't have to pay any federal taxes:

After two and half centuries of our nation's history, it's come to this: The President's lawyers argue on the Senate floor that he can withhold aid, coerce an ally, and try to cheat in an election, And there's nothing we can do about it. Our Founders would be aghast.

I don't think people fully grasp the constitutional danger of this moment. If the Senate were to refuse to call relevant witnesses with direct testimony of grave presidential wrongdoing then we can no longer understand impeachment to be a genuine check on executive overreach.

Does anyone else find it strange that the President can’t find a single witness from his own administration to testify to the facts under oath?
