    But the report doesn't mention research that has found that students who do gap years complete college faster (in closer to 4 years rather than the 5 or 6 years that is now the norm for many students).

    The PSLF Help Tool now lets borrowers search an employer database to see if their loans qualify. Just tested it with my husband's loans/employer and it worked without too much friction.

    This woman at one of Milwaukee's five polling places yesterday was trying to do something nice by handing out candy to voters waiting in long lines, but I feel like I watched the virus spread before my eyes as various un-gloved voters dipped their hands into her basket.

    As it gets to be dinnertime here, a woman is walking around handing out free McDonald’s cheeseburgers, and a BBQ truck has parked across the street from this polling location (Marshall High School).

    A poll worker reminding people to stay 6ft apart. (You can’t tell from this photo, but it down-poured and people are soaked. The line is slightly shorter as a result, but many people are still sticking it out.)

    This perfect storm is becoming a literal storm, with cracks of thunder and rain beginning. Poll workers are handing out black, plastic garbage bags for the people who don’t have umbrellas. This drive-thru voting line is slower than the standing line, but at least we’re dry.
