Alfie Evans was born on May 9, 2016 in the United Kingdom. When he was only several months old, he was struck by a mysterious illness, and slipped into coma.

Alfie’s life support was turned off two days ago. NHS doctors expected that he would pass away within minutes. Again, he fought back; at the time of this writing, he is continuing to breathe without assistance. But time is of the essence.

I urge the UK government to grant the Evans family’s request to treat their precious child in Italy. Americans strive to achieve the promise of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” for all our citizens, no matter how young or old.

I encourage all my fellow Americans to join me today in praying for Alfie and his family.

This is complete lie. And you call yourself a Christian? But you’ll use lies to further your political ideology? What would Jesus make of that?

You are free to buy private healthcare in the UK if you want it. The NHS ensures that EVERYONE gets some coverage, which is more than the US system. Oh, and it's around half the cost with better life expectancy.

The mortality rate in the states is far higher than the UK - as Americans cannot afford to get the healthcare they need - we have universal free healthcare in the UK. The Alfie case is far more complicated than you are making out! So do your research before you read his crap.

The decision re. life support was taken by the UK and European courts, not the NHS. Don’t you dare criticise our NHS when your citizens are dying because they can’t afford healthcare. No one in the UK goes without.

Thank you for putting this so well.

Which wouldn't be so bad if he knew what he was talking about. All Drs (British, German, Italian) accept Alfie is suffering an incurable degenerative neurological condition. Alfie would have died ages ago without "socialized medicine".
