Texas taxpayers will now be able to write off up to $10,000 in property taxes, a measure I fought to maintain. Further, it includes my Student Opportunity Amendment, which prioritizes the education of the next generation by expanding 529 College Savings accounts.

And where are they suppose to come up with the money to put in the accounts? Your bill once again benefits the wealthy while screwing over the middle class and the poor.

It’s money they are already spending on their kids. Now they can spend it and will be able to deduct it on their taxes . They couldn’t before. Your not putting away 10k a year to savings account. You are reducing your taxable income. The poor will get large tax returns.
