Ted Cruz Retweeted The Pulitzer Prizes

Pulitzer epically beclowns itself. Prize supposed to go to work that “adheres to the highest journalistic principles.” NYT’s 1619 project is explicitly not journalism; it is propaganda. In NYT’s words: “It aims to REFRAME OUR COUNTRY’S HISTORY.” It’s based on FALSE premises. 1/xhttps://twitter.com/PulitzerPrizes/status/1257387951069245441 …

2/x NYT: "[America’s] founding ideals were false when they were written." "The US is a nation founded on both an ideal & a lie." "[O]ne of the primary reasons the colonists decided to declare independence was because they wanted to protect the institution of slavery." ALL FALSE.

3/x NYT Executive Editor Dean Baquet was caught in a leaked transcript admitting it blatantly political: “We built our newsroom to cover one story [Russia collusion] & we did it truly well. Now we have to regroup, and shift resources and emphasis to take on a different story.”

6/x The NYT & Pulitzer are now both expressly partisan, consumed with Trump-hatred, history “reframing,” race-baiting, dishonest propagandists. Denounced by serious historians. It’s truly sad. Now, more than ever, we need real journalists. And they’re not even pretending anymore.

Progressivism has changed the standards of what is journalism and reporting while the American right has been screaming about GDP for decades. To them, a lie that advances a greater “moral truth” is perfectly fine. They’re redefining what journalism is and ought to be.

Fascinating insight into how the Socialist minds work to blend history & personal opinions to rewrite history. I was waiting for the last paragraph to state President Abraham Lincoln was a white racist while Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin & Fidel Castro were cuddly teddy bears.

I'm sure you're a big fan of McPherson pointing out that the US Civil War was started because of the South's desire to preserve slavery as the principle reason too!
