Science tells us that fetuses do not experience pain. They exhibit nociception but do not perceive pain — just like you or I when subjected to stimulus while asleep — until the placental flow of prostaglandin D2 stops at birth.
@AOC This is also a poor question. Science agrees that fetuses feel a sensation, but have no idea if the experience is like how adults experience pain. Scientists also suggest fetuses may experience those sensations as early as 12 weeks.
I wonder if these folks defending the snipping of a baby's spine would be okay with the same procedure being performed on an animal?
