Travel now uses the automobile, ships use engines, the quil gave way to the pen and the coal oil lamp has been replaced by the light bulb. Technology has advanced, arms are no different. One cannot be expected to defend one's self with 16th century arms today.

Stable democrats no longer exist. They are all radical lefty socialists. They are against freedom independent of the government. They are angry and hateful. AOC plus 3 are ignorant with radical ideas that are not good for the US. Many of us will never vote democrat again.
one day I realized that today, now, in my lifetime, I felt some regulation was needed. We can still own guns, we can protect ourselves, hunt and be a well regulated militia. You reference history well, but life is built moving forward.
