    It's infuriating that Biden & Harris didn't plan for contingencies in Afghanistan. Now it's emerging they were so committed to blocking & reversing everything Trump did, they canceled a State Dept. bureau for contingency planning in emergencies. Now we're in the middle of one.

    This is dispiriting and unacceptable. It's clear Biden-Harris didn't have a plan to get Americans out of Afghanistan. Congress will hold them accountable. They need to stop dodging blame and get all of our citizens out of Afghanistan, right NOW.

    Thousands of Americans remain in Afghanistan and it appears the Biden administration had no reasonable plan to safely allow those Americans to leave. This failure falls squarely on the president. But Joe Biden is trying to blame everyone except himself & his own administration.

    These WH talking points try to pin blame on everyone except Biden, even the Afghan military. But it was Biden who ordered an incoherent & precipitous abandonment. And it was Biden, along with his hand-picked team, who misled Americans for weeks about the unfolding catastrophe.

    Here are the WH Afghanistan talking points Pelosi's office just sent around. They are not good: "The Administration knew that there was a distinct possibility that Kabul would fall to the Taliban. It was not an inevitability. It was a possibility."
