We need more women in tech positions.

"Technology review" ?? Stop ideological fight; get back to reasoning. Sex has nothing to do with tech.

Women are the way to go. They are more focused, more detailed and more capable, so get hiring and see what you have been missing.

I differ. Any creative, logical, problem solving mindset person can be good at coding. Let everyone get equal opportunity. No need to push.

I am against discrimination against women, and men. One has to hire the best possible talent, within their cost, time, job need constraints.

Without a push to hire equally, mediocre men may get hired over more talented women. To believe otherwise is to be naive or willfully blind.

From my experience, it's usually worse outside of the west. Generally equal in the rest of the west. Who is the US competing with on this?

I have recently made it a requirement for my grad students to take CS course (Python) even if it doesn't count for degree requirements.
