Self-Defense is one thing; but premeditated killing after years of abuse is another. I don't think you can provide a single link where the
@NRA is advocating murder; versus reasonable self-defense when under the threat or endangering of one's life. -
Most/all jurisdictions go by the rule that to use lethal force, the threat has to be immediate, not potential. I get where the woman was coming from if abuse is life threat, but there have to be other options. Safe women's shelter? Her own apartment and a hand cannon. Not murder.

That’s not the NRA’s position. No one - except, apparently,
@teamtrace - is saying that women should shoot their abusers in the head while they’re sleeping on the couch. Which is what happened here. There’s a word for that: murder. -
The New Yorker or New York mag tried this during Trayvon. Woman of color shot abusive hubby in Florida. NRA doesn’t stand for Black people. Left out her leaving,going to garage for shotgun and blasting in front of two kids.

Perhaps you misunderstand me. I meant the magazine tried to FALSELY portray the NRA as indifferent to POC. They set it up as a POC shot someone in a home, omitting the mention of going to the garage. They falsely presented it as stand your ground,then said NRA was silent
