    4) Plop some airplants around your island. Mist them occasionally to keep them hydrated. That's it!

    3) Grab some tanbark from your local playground and arrange it around your "dirt" painted saucer. The tanbark will give your island some fun topography without weighing it down too much.

    2) Grab a lightweight saucer to top the magnet and spray it with a textured paint like this. You get a great look of rich soil without a huge mess if someone accidentally topples your island.
