ICYMI - even if all fossil fuel emissions stopped tomorrow, the food system's GHGs would make the planet uninhabitable. Can't prevent catastrophic climate change w/o radical change in what's grown and eaten.

Projected cumulative 2020 to 2100 GHG emissions solely from the global food system for business-as-usual emissions and for various food system changes that lead to emission reductions.

In the midst of a climate & ecological emergency the EU is about to lock nearly €400bn into a new agricultural policy, completely ignoring climate & biodiversity. And no-one even reports about it!? Even a child knows this isn't how democracy is supposed to work.

It’s time to invest as much back into nature as we extract from it. It’s time to develop a new paradigm that recognizes the value of nature and understands that life quality is not purely a matter of GDP.
