1/ Spotify, YouTube, Pandora and others all pay artists for their free tiers and trials. It's the right thing to do.

      @tconrad 1. Apple Music and some others do not have free tier vs Spotify. 2. Spotify is on-demand streaming. Differs from radio.

    @tconrad 1/ From ad revenue. Apple won't have ad revenue to pay artists with. Their free tier is Beats1 and is more like terrestrial radio
