To clarify, Queen Elizabeth II did NOT meet President Lyndon Johnson when he was President of the United States (1963-1969). However, LBJ "likely" met QEII on October 17, 1957, during a State Dinner held in her honor at the White House per the good folks at @LBJLibrary.

“Likely”? I’m not sure how anyone else could get to half her number

I don’t want to discount a living descendant of one of the Roosevelts or Trumans to say nothing of a GRANDSON of President John Tyler (yes, THAT John Tyler of the 1840s) who is alive and well in his early 90shttps://amp.usatoday.com/amp/5935788002

She came from a wealthy/influential family & lived a long time

Even so, I give her all due credit for going out of her way to meet every president during her long reign, including those that served for fewer than 1,000 days. Plus, she went out of her way to meet Herbert Hoover! Big ups QEII

That's mathematically impossible. There's only been 13 US presidents during her reign and she didn't meet LBJ. Only way you can get to 15 is if she met Roosevelt while a princess or ex-president Coolidge.

Good catch and possibly so! The good folks at the
@LBJLibrary suggest that the pair may have met at a State Dinner held in the Queen’s honor in October 1957 to which LBJ was invited as Senate Majority Leader.
