Channels that need clear proof of authenticity + meet the criteria will be eligible for verification badges (the new design is also harder to "impersonate"!!). If anyone thinks they received an email in error, please appeal, we'll review all appeals before any changes happen.

You keep repeating that and you keep declining people who have a mill+ subs. Like for real? Do you need an actual documented case of identity theft to motivate a check mark now? Big channel = big chance of it happening, thus needs a checkmark. It’s not fucking hard?

I think the creator of a video will still have their username appear differently in the comments. Most of the time scams are done under the name of the channel creator.
