After twenty years, the ubiquitous, storied Stripperweb forum is shutting down on February 1. No one knows why. I wrote about how the community has come together to archive their collective history and attempt to track down the forum's elusive owner.

WaPo is sunsetting its games vertical the same day NYT publishes another classically 🙄 line on gaming: "Until fairly recently, games were considered a niche hobby, typically associated with children." Infuriating that games coverage remains low priority at these prestige outlets

New from me: when the Jan 6 committee wanted to test TikTok’s potential for extremist content rabbitholes, they gave an account to a fictional 41 year old woman. It took 75 mins for the account to be served videos with Nazi content

started horizon forbidden west and forgot how much i prefer spending time in an optimistic game world. it’s cheesy but kindness, hope and other virtues exist in real life — a game doesn’t have to be hyper-cynical to be realistic or engaging
