Anchía, a Democrat + Latino, just accidentally called Rep. J.M. Lozano, a Republican + Latino, by the name González. Boy, was it awkward. When Lozano corrected him, he deadpan went: "It's OK, we all look the same." Anchía apologized. Just goes to show how tense things are here.

Says only two states require voters to provide ID number on their ballot that matches the one on their ballot application.
At least 1 state would still accept even if numbers mismatch if signature matches.

Turner notes that it would be possible to do what other states do and allow ballots with the mismatched ID numbers (from what's on app) to count, as long as the signatures match. Murr says bill requires clerks create online tool where voters can add/correct their information
Rep. Toni Rose, D-Dallas, calls out Murr for saying he did not want committee amendments, but he'd consider them on the floor. All but 1 D amendment has been rejected. "It's so disingenuous to me for you to make those comments + you have no intention to work w/ your colleagues."
