Is it bad faith to punch up a vuln write-up because you want good press? That happens all the time in vuln research, but it's not illegal until somebody makes money on it. I bet Danbury FCI is full of finance guys who think they were operating in good faith.

My point is that vuln researchers who haven't had the experiences that some of us of have (I've been the expert for somebody who had his life destroyed before a day of trial) and who don't work behind a army of ex-prosecutor in-house counsel, need to be wary.
