Every org has only so many vulnerability researchers on staff, and only so many hours to dedicate towards research. I hope Microsoft’s team is expending a sensible effort analyzing critical stuff in their own products this week, and not turning too much attention to Google.

MS and Google security people: "Isn't it awesome we're making each other's products more secure!" MS and Google senior execs: "Uh... yes. That's totally our only goal supporting this research, too. Of course. Totally. Great stuff."

I guess peeps are extracting it to a higher level of business, i.e. competing companies? I doubt anybody comes to you from Chrome and demands Edge vulns? Fear could be corps using sec bugs to bash each other, but I doubt customers care personally

collaborating efforts seems more constructive, but then again, externally it may look like conspiring. Either way, as long as the end users aren't the ones getting screwed, the vuln disclosure should foster a more expeditious response from the affected company, right?
