Why facepalm? I think they're really good questions, I'm curious who advised them on the embargo topic.

Is that not part of a responsible disclosure, allowing some time to address the flaw... Difficult in this instance that it didn't just affect one company?

I don't want to have a disclosure debate, but in case you didn't realize there is no universal consensus on what is "responsible". It is a contentious issue and long-running debate.

And that's why I think we can't judge an embargo and it's length. There is no right and wrong here. What I think is responsible, others may not? But, it's a good question to ask for 'lessons learned', but other than that...?
