I created a new Windows 10 VM with a pristine image from MSDN, and noticed a third party password manager is now installed by default. It didn't take long to find a critical vulnerability. https://bugs.chromium.org/p/project-zero/issues/detail?id=1481 …

90% sure that Keeper is not exactly 'installed' There's a start menu item, but no executables, it looks like it downloads on first use.
-
Still a problem, but not as bad as "compromised application on all new Win 10 builds"

Got Candy Crush Saga months ago when installing a Win10 laptop, but then it was a link to the game in the Xbox store, iirc. Probably one of those ads in Win10 ppl spoke about long time ago.

I just installed a clean Windows 10 from ISO gotten from Microsoft, and it had like 7-8 third party apps. Mostly games.
-
But i dint notice Keeper when i was removing these apps. Maybe it installs certain apps based on some variables you select when installing the OS?
