I created a new Windows 10 VM with a pristine image from MSDN, and noticed a third party password manager is now installed by default. It didn't take long to find a critical vulnerability. https://bugs.chromium.org/p/project-zero/issues/detail?id=1481 …

Hi Tavis, great find as usual! The argument is not that THIS password manager is better for specific person X who can intelligently manage passwords without a manager. That's clearly false.
-
The argument is that when compared to what most people do—which is just reuse the same garbage passwords across most of their sites on the internet—using most password managers (and definitely the good ones) is an improvement.

Even a password manager with a trivial remote root that shares all your passwords with every website is better than nothing. What am I gonna do, write my passwords down on a laminated slip in my wallet?
