I don't want to hear about how even a password manager with a trivial remote root that shares all your passwords with every website is better than nothing. People really tell me this.

That would be fine, but it's not obvious to non-experts which of them are good. It's a reasonable (and incorrect) assumption that the one installed by default in Windows 10 is "good" or the one that came with your Antivirus (ugh) is. Security is hard.

Tavis. Breathe. We're on the same side trying to do the same thing. Who on Earth would argue that it's OK for password managers to have vulnerabilities? That's ridiculous. OF COURSE you should be calling these people out. My argument isn't about vendors being free from blame.
