I love how if anyone in the security industry suggests simple advice someone will point out the technical corner cases that don't matter to the users the advice is for.

I've been pondering this more. I think you're on to something. We try to have "universal" advice, but really, we need simple advice for different situations. For example, if you need a simple safe device, Chromebook is an easy answer.

Nah, I was more suggesting when there is good advice, we shouldn't nitpick it to death. Allergies are a great example. If you're allergic to cats, don't own a cat.
