Yeah, I was worried that might be the only solution. I guess you do your own canonicalization (e.g. path case) in Python?
The tools I use here accept both / and \ and do not care about case, but I use `pathlib.PurePath` to do path normalization elsewhere.
But env vars passed to `cl` etc should be set unchanged, so only PATH needs to be fixed. Unless you're using other vars too?
