Your argument makes no sense. Ops don't want to study it, they want to know if mitigation or patch worked, or if their config is affected.
Do you agree metasploit/canvas/impact are useful, or are all their customers script kiddies? Exploits are useful, it's indisputable.
They are useful, to certain sets of people. Notably pentesters, saves a lot of time. They're not useful to vast majority of the population
There's tons of vuln management sw that does it for them. Scans their infra and tells them which patch is missing. A script can do the same
and that's all most users care about. The technical details / corner cases where it's vulnerable / not vulnerable, most of them don't care
